Sorry. The previous "I predicted this would happen way back when" just came off a little "I know better" to me. Plus you're only the forty millionth person to offer this particular advice around here.
I meant it when I said "to no one in particular." You just happened to be last person who said something similar. Basically, it's all been said before. Those who actually need the advice aren't ready to accept it (or understand it), and those who understand perfectly well how it all works get tired of hearing others constantly preach to the choir. *shrug*
Sorry it took you aback that unsolicited technical advice (in good faith or not) is not always welcomed by the world at large. I've learned to wait until people ask me for my opinion on if (or how) they should use a particular service before giving it.
