If that is a screenshot from your calibre installation, you are not affected by this problem. That is a very old version of calibre from before I added the full metadata updating function. It doesn't set the language.

But, that is actually a screenshot of the KoboTouch driver rather than the KoboTouchExtended driver which you said you are using. That has an option to set the language separately. This option is on the "Extended" tab of the options. That might be what is triggering the problem on the device.
