Thanks. I didn't know this even existed. I turned it off. I also unplugged my Dot--again.

Apparently the default is to collect information, which seems like a violation of privacy just waiting for a class action suit. Vizio settled a class action suit because their smart TVs were collecting data; seems like Amazon's doing much the same thing.
