I've been keeping a log on a LiveJournal account since 2005. I create a post for each book read, listing the title, author, format in which it was read, genre (if fiction) and topic (if nonfiction), date completed, and a running tally of books read and number of pages read during the current calendar year. If I read an ebook or listen to an audio book, I record the number of pages in the first print edition that comes up on Amazon.
