I own a Kobo Aura H20 Edition 2 that had been running KoReader for several months with no issue. I tried to update the screensaver folder with an image (which I've done many times) but this time KoReader wouldn't launch, whenever I would select the KoReader image from My Books (which would launch KoReader) it just displayed an image instead of launching.
Okay, so I'm like whatever I'll reinstall everything. I did a factory reset on my Kobo and followed these instructions I saved:
Quote:
1) Factory reset
2) Log into wifi and when asked log into Raku kobo account
3) Follow the following links to install KoReader
(FROM: https://github.com/koreader/koreader...based-on-kfmon)
i. Download the latest install package for KFMon. (KFMon-v1.2.15.zip)
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=274231
ii. Extract the full content of this archive into the root directory of your device (i.e., not under any subdirectory).
iii. Download the latest release of KOReader (e.g., koreader-kobo-arm-kobo-linux-gnueabihf-v2019.03..>)
http://build.koreader.rocks/download/nightly/
iv. Extract the koreader folder of the zip into the .adds directory of your device (a directory which may have just been created by KFMon's archive).
v. Eject & unplug your device. Nickel should then appear to be processing a book, before restarting to process an update.
5) Install dictionary via \.adds\koreader\data\dict
6) Install screenshots via \.adds\koreader\screenshots
7) Install fonts via \.adds\koreader\fonts

The problem is, before Step 5, KoReader launches but it freezes, it doesn't let me click anywhere. When I reset the device it goes back to the original Kobo software and when I relaunch KoReader, same thing, I tap but nothing happens. I do remember the first time I went in there after the reinstall it said something like "still processing". At one point I think it said "unable to launch something.ssh".
What am I doing wrong? Did anything change?
