I've returned 3-4 books since 2009, all for formatting issues. But have seen posts from users who returned books because they didn't like them. I think that is outside the spirit of the limitation. It was usually those users who ended up on the old Kindle forum, complaining because they couldn't return books any more, because Amazon removed the option from their account.
That's like asking for a meal to be taken off the bill, after you've eaten most of it.

I wrote an addendum to my post, but I don't see it anywhere. Aarrrgghh!
The option appeared after 10 minutes or so. Heretofore, it's been usually within 1 minute. I'll be more patient from now on. However, it seems like Amazon grades a person on the basis of _how long_ it takes the customer to make the request after heshe purchases a book, and that person more frequently gets the dreaded "call this toll-free number to speak to a customer representative" message! They act like someone could make a (illegal) copy of the book within a minute or two! So, I try to request a return as soon as I realize that I've made a boo-boo.
Yeah, I like the meal analogy. ha However, unless they've changed their policy, I think that _Audible_ lets a person--at least a member--return an audio book and exchange it for another one. I don't see the reason for the difference.
