for this one occasion, it's a shame your dogs are so friendly and well behaved, otherwise you could take them for a walk just when the ed is showing off the place

Can you have pain meds and crash out yet?

Full of people who made millions and think everybody in the world should bow and scrape. Most average Texans try to forget the place exists.

Red wouldn't ever take a job there....(Though he might send BadGoodDeb in with a sword and a diplomatic passport....)

Teresa was kind enough to feed me after letting me shower there. I am in bed and about to take a few vitamin-V and then hit the sack.

Yes, I know that I could probably replace the elements myself. I watched the last plumber do it ... but, I'm barely holding on physically right now, so I think I'm just going to let Sean take care of it for me.

Ralph .... "Bay" not "Bend" .... but yes, arrogantly snobbish would pretty much describe about 99 percent of the people in Horseshoe Bay. I was talking to someone about that today. She was asking me why, of all the places I could have moved to in Texas -- some of which have a lot of very nice people in them -- I moved to a place full of of the most snobbish people on the planet (the lady I was talking to lives in Texas .... but not in HSB).

In fact, most of the people that I have come to like and consider friends don't live in Horseshoe Bay and have a very low opinion of the people who do. And, by "low opinion" I mean that, while they acknowledge that they have wads of money, the people who live here are very shallow people generally, and not the sort who care much about anyone who can't help them advance socially or monetarily.

Let's just say that I am not impressed with any of them. I'm trying really (really) hard not to tar the entire state of Texas with the same brush.

I'm going to clean out the litter boxes, do my evening chores, take my meds and dream of living some place where people are actually nice. At least, I hope I dream about that .... last night's dream was a bit strange .... it starred pshrynk and Tom Selleck (who I knew before he became famous .... nice guy), and no, I've never seen pshrynk. I just know that it was him in the dream. And pshrynk and Tom and I were all sitting in a canvas pup-tent out in a field at night, just talking about stuff ... then I wandered off into the dark and left the two guys in the tent talking and drinking beer, and then I woke up.

Yes, I know .... that will be $300 ... pay the laddy at the door.
