I've recently jumped on the bandwagon for using ereaders. Specifically I purchased an Kobo Clara HD. The experience has been really good. I enjoy having all my books in this little device available at the touch of a finger. Plus the reading experience is much better than on my tablet.
A few other people in my household would also like a device now that they have seen mine. The problem I have are the prices for the devices. My interior bogglehead voice is saying 'buy them used on ebay'. I've done a bit of research and there are a plethora of older model for Kobo devices.
I'm thinking of going with something like the Aura HD or Glo HD models. I'm hoping if I'm patient I can get something on ebay or fb marketplace for about $50-$60.
So my question is:
Is there a significant drawback to getting one of these older models versus the ClaraHD? One difference I've come across is the lack of support for overdrive software on the device (I'm OK with that).
Any help / opinions / guidance is much appreciated.
