Hmmmm, you can download samples of books and put books on a wish list on Amazon too. Generally I find the samples are mostly the index, preface, about the author, blah, blah, blah, and very little of the actual book itself. Although...... I do have to CONFESS to one impulse book buy from Amazon when I downloaded and read the sample of The Ultimate Cookbook. It actually had some recipes and pertinent stuff that I found useful, so I bought it, right there in my car in the grocery store parking lot! Oh, and BTW their recipe for the Ultimate Granola is awesome! So see, I "saved" money by not buying the boxed cereal but instead picked up the few ingredients I needed to make the recipe.
I sold my Sony 505 and that paid for half of my Kindle purchase. And now some nice lady in Arizona is enjoying a nearly new 505 and she got it for less than the price a new one. Everybody wins!
