I understand where youre coming from and in one of my other post (see Sony ereaders forum) I mention and agree the Mimas is quite good for note taking. And that's what I'm using it for. You didn't mention anything about PDFs so I guess you're not using them in school. In the professional world, many industries run on PDF and for that, the Mimas is useless.
