I just created an empty Library (MagLib

) then switched back to your MainLib: Select the Magazines (can be in any number of smaller groups): right-click on a selection: Copy To Library MagLib: Delete
Spin, repeat, until all done

Do at least the first phase of Library maintenance on your MainLib when done moving to compact the DB
