That is what it looks like to me. Each screen resolution gets a different copy.

I think that release notes are stored in advance on the server because the beta group (beta.kobo.com) tests them a week or two in advance. I believe this is used with the with the AcceptPreviewUpgrades option in the config file.

Unless Kobo are about to change something, That isn't how they do the beta group. But, I'm pretty sure these release notes were just someone posting them to early. How accurate they were, I can't comment on.
