Sisters of the Winter Wood by Rena Rosner is $1.99 on Amazon.com

This combines a retelling of retelling of the narrative poem Goblin Market with a story about two young Jewish-Ukrainian sisters who can turn into animals.
Here's a favorable review by Bogi Takács.

Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames is $2.99 on Amazon.com

This is a somewhat humorous fantasy set in a society where bands of mercenaries are as popular a modern-day rock bands. There's a sequel, but I think this one's standalone.
A favorable SFF180 video review convinced me to try it.
