I believe via USB/SD card is somewhat all or nothing.

CC can read a Calibre library stored on the phone but you have to mirror/copy the structure of your Calibre library exactly (the folder that contains metadata.db).

I don't believe using Send to Device or Save to Disk will work if you want these to work with CC.
