Wondering about 3D Printers.

3D printers are proliferating.

I am a technically-challenged techno-phobe, but I wonder if there will be a place at the table at MobileRead for 3D printer stuff. I checked for a 3D printer thread, elsewhere on this site, but I didn't see one.

I know that the products of 3D files have nothing (that I can think of) to do with the purpose of this website. However, files (.stl's) for the creation of 3D stuff are downloadable (see, e.g., WarGameVault.com), and if they are downloadable, then it seems to me that they can be downloaded to mobile devices, and the physical 3D's can be printed from that mobile device. Or, for that matter, the .stl files can be transferred from a mobile device to a desktop computer, which will be the device to see to it that the 3D object is printed.

I suppose that a moderator will chime in if this query is inappropriate. Otherwise, I would be interested in hearing what others of you think.
