Just to mention: It doesn't appear to be a runaway process. I've rebooted the H2O a few times while trying to figure this out. When I plugged it in last weekend it had shut itself off due to low battery.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that my PDF reading is stressing a battery that is no longer top-notch due to age. I've left the H2O asleep for extended periods of time without any battery drain whatsoever.
