I don't find page turns slow on my gen1 Aura HD H2O. The only slow aspect is text selection prior to search/highlight/note.
It IS slower for a while when you copy a load of books via USB. Likely because it's importing metadata to a database and indexing?
I have refresh on every page turn on as then any accidental page change is obvious and text quality on average is a little better.
Read all the recent threads about the Forma. Personally I'd not make page turn relative speed a selection criterion. A newer model is unlikely to be slower!
