Hey guys,
I've been using Calibre and Paperwhite for ages, never had a problem. Until now.
I decided to upgrade the firmware to 5.10.3 since they advertised faster and smoother page turning, and overall performance optimization. That works great and it actually runs a bit smoother. However, I can't send any new books to the device via Calibre.
I send it via Calibre, disconnect the device, the books appear on Kindle as usual but disappear within seconds or after you open it and close, the book is not there. The books are still physically on the device.
I tried copying the books manually to the device and this problem doesn't happen so it must be something between Paperwhite's latest firmware and Calibre.
Any ideas? I've read the guidelines, I've read FAQ. I have the latest Calibre version. I have another Kindle with still the old firmware and everything works just fine so it must be something with the firmware and the Calibre.
Kindle #01 - new firmware 5.10.3
- manually copying the book to the device works
- sending the same book via Calibre to the device sends the book, the book shows up for a second and disappears
- tried multiple different books, always the same
- this started happening right after I updated the firmware
Kindle #02 - haven't updated the firmware on this Kindle yet, still 5.9.2.0.1
- everything works fine
- tried the exact same books and never a problem
