I was able to remove the shields from my PW2 with a heat gun and some tweezers. The shields soaked up the heat nicely and quickly desoldered from the rest of the board. Just be careful not to bump any components while the board is hot or you could displace components and ruin everything.

Also the chip you labeled eMMC is the SoC. I think the eMMC is a SanDisk chip, not a Freescale chip
