I answered you post about this in another thread. On my Kobo devices, I have never been able to read the book in the browser. It is always downloaded and added to the devices library.
I will check when I get a chance in case something has changed.
For the record, the process I use is:
- Open the browser.
- Connect to the site.
- Find the book and tap the download link.
- A prompt is displayed asking if I want to download the book. Tap "Continue" to start the download.
- A progress bar will be shown while the book is downloaded.
- When finished, the book is added to the library and you will be prompted to open the book. Or close if you don't want to read it now.
I have just checked this using a book from Porject Gutenberg. The only issue I had is that the add to the library used UTC time instead of local. It just fluked that the downloaded book wasn't the latest in the library when sorted by "Recent". Another few minutes and it would have been.
