Yes, I mean the cover image of the book when first opened. However, I use AdobeDigitalEdition on my pc (windows7) and don't have a reading device. ADE is for epub and pdf formats, which is all I read. My friend converts her books to epub for me and it is the format I have always chosen from the library.

The cover image of the book I mentioned is postage stamp size and I was surprised to encounter it in a library book as I had thought this was a rare phenomenon possibly related to my friend converting ibooks.

It just puzzles me. I used Calibre to look at the code in edit but see nothing unusual that would explain it.
