1. I noticed, at 3 a.m., that when I plugged my PW4 in to charge the battery percentage continued to show and you could track the charge. On the PW3, the percentage disappeared when you plugged in the cable and you had to quit charging to check the progress. I like that change.

2. I'm just a user and not an engineer but it's my impression my PW4 is charging faster than did my PW3s. I don't know if it's a tech improvment, simply a newer battery, or my imagination.

3. Yesterday I was caught short having lunch in a restaurant and got the low-battery warning. I plugged in my power pack and was shocked at how quickly it charged.
