As my nickname, I am flying gliders and in some gliding clubs I saw people using the navigation software "XCSoar" on their e-reader.
On the website of XCSoar, there is a download option for Android as well, as for Kobo https://www.xcsoar.org/download/.
Now I am wander wether it is possible to install the .tgz file, which is an installation package normally used for kobo on my Kindle K2? Or is it better to run Linux oder Android?

Thanks for helping me
Kindles don't run Android: they run a special-purpose dedicated Linux distribution of their very own (in most ways, under the covers, much more like normal Linux distros than Android is, but completely closed and without the ability to install arbitrary software). Android apps won't work on Kindles.
