Yep we have similar tastes in graphics apps I guess.

I've tried and used all three of those you mention. And of those, I settled on digikam as you did for image management (I didn't like the results of their RAW processing tools, even though they use a good OSS RAW library), and DarkTable for RAW handling (I got as good results there as with RawTherapee, and slightly preferred the UI and image tagging features--the image management is good enough for my needs that I may just dispense with digikam as well).
