Doesn't seem to. My guess is that it is because I do not need to have the screen as bright as I usually seem to need on a laptop or tablet.

For reading at night or in dimly lit places. I don't need to illuminate an entire room to read a book, nor do I have to position myself beside a reading lamp. Clip on lights do work but are a bit of a nuisance as are head lamps.

Definitely will keep the Note. My wife will likely start using it. If not, I could always leave it at work or just keep it around as a spare... Having an extra device around has saved me more than once when I've been having problems with another.
Would consider selling my MAx1 if I was offered a decent price for it. Haven't used it much since getting my Note and don't really see that changing. However, it's also taking no hurt just sitting there. Every once in a while I charge up the battery to keep it healthy.

Am typing on a laptop. I do have a BT keyboard and have used it with the Note, but when I'm on the web, I'm usually using a laptop.
