Seems like a great ereader for PDFs, and the note pro as well, even though the price tag is a bit on the high side. But android makes me afraid that the system is too heavy and uses way more power than other (non-android) ereaders. How is battery life compared to a more minimalistic (Kobo/Kindle/PB...) ereader?

Another question is about long term stability. If they decide to stop releasing upgrades for a specific device (we can imagine that given how fast they release new devices), isn't the ereader at risk of having more trouble on the long run than an ereader running a stripped down linux system? Probably not that much if you didn't install many apps and keep the device offline, but I can't we say "the simplier the better"?

If they take off, alternative roms will probably be available at some point, which could fix the risk of the device becoming unsupported some point in the future.
