Attention Race Fans: Check Out the WS Deal on this Ebook about Janet Guthrie!

GA Russell made a post, on the Less than $3 thread, of the book, _Speed Car: Janet Guthrie and the Race that Changed Sports Forever_. She was the spark plug that paved the way for women to be race car drivers (yes, the preceding metaphors were intended as puns ), at least as far as modern times in the USA are concerned.

I had forgotten all about Janet Guthrie, and had been thinking that Danica Kirkpatrick, of more recent times, held that honor (Guthrie and Kirkpatrick drove on different "circuits," though--Guthrie on the INDY-type car circuit, and Kirkpatrick on the popular NASCAR circuit). But when I saw Guthrie's face on the Amazon book product page, I instantly remembered her from seeing photos of her years ago.

Well, the ebook that GA Russell posted has a WS deal on it. The WS deal is only _$2.98_. The number breaks down this way: $0.99-ebook + $1.99-audio narration = _$2.98_. Ratings for the book and the audio are both very good. A caveat is that there aren't all that many pages in the book, so the audio narration is not particularly long--about 3 hours in length.

You've got to see the product page for the book, at Amazon! It is the coolest that I've ever seen at Amazon. The thumbnail of the book is especially cool. The book is one of the rare "Kindle in Motion" ebooks (BTW--This feature may more than offset, in your mind, any perceived shortcomings in the size/length of the ebook/audio).

If the WS deal (or just the ebook, for that matter) sounds attractive, head over to GA Russell's post on the Less than $3 thread. And thanks to him, once again, for making a post that I could piggyback on for this thread .
