I do, but to a great extent, the point of this particular device is to mostly sit in my car for those occasions when I forget my iPad. Thus I'm trying to keep it at a point where I can manage it via wifi connections, rather than hooking it up to my computer. That means mostly via Amazon kindle connection. Plus, I wanted the flexibility of syncing locations between my kindle device and the kindle app on my iPad, if I start reading something during lunch and then want to finish it later at home.

I do manage my Kobo device via calibre. In general, the first thing that I do when I get a new book is remove the DRM and convert the book to epub format. I don't bother converting the various epub books that I've purchased over the years (Baen, Sony and Apple) to mobi format though.
