I only use the origami case for the Voyage, when I need to read without hands. Otherwise, I am not too concerned about damage protection. My Voyage has travelled around the world with me in my backpack, and considering I only got the case last year (and have the Voyage since 2015), I find the Voyage to be very durable.
I love the way the back feels, and how light the Voyage is. That was one of the reasons I returned the Oasis 2, the metal was ok after a while, but I didn’t feel comfortable leaving it around or carrying it in my purse without a case...
