I read this last summer/fall and really enjoyed it. It lays out the changing understanding of the evolutionary "tree of life" from Darwin to present. (If you aren't going to read this book, you should at least read up on why bacteria evolve much faster than is explainable by their fast replication.) |

I snatched it up. I don't know when I'm going to have time to read it. Ironically, I might need to use some of my MobileRead time for it.
Yeah, $4.99 is a little steep for an ebook that I will buy. But I try to consider "bang for the buck." I consider 1 cent per page to be a great deal--299 pages would be $2.99, for example. This tome is just short of 500 pages, so $4.99 is still a great deal, in my way of thinking.
