The two links each represent an equivalent of the two sides of the combination.

So perhaps the best would be to mix and match your way through both, alternating as you feel appropriate.

Thanks, it's a little hard to gauge how far to get into the theory as for a beginner it looks like a bottomless black hole!! I am keen to learn though so I will give the linked modules a go. I'm hoping it will jog my memory for some of the stuff i did in Physics all those years ago.

I've tried to find a basic electronics course locally for some classroom training but they're not aimed at a hobbyist and are all prohibitively expensive ($5000) for my "just for fun" level of learning.

Wow you really were doing it before I was born! A lot of change to go through, must have been exciting to see the progression in electronics from the early days to now.
