I had an Uncle on the CVE9 USS Boge. It was a Jeep Carrier in a Sub Hunter Killer Group. They even got a Presidential Unit Citation for sinking & or 8 (not sure) German Subs in less than a week. My father in Law started out the war on a destroyer doing convoy duty in the North Atlantis before being transferred to the Pacific.
