Why are you following directions for much older Kindles than the one you have?
That sounds risky.

1) Which KUAL?
Not the one you drop into /documents, instead use the one that you must use MrPI to install.
HINT: Everything EXCEPT the "HotFix" must be installed with MrPI.
2) I don't read where you installed the "HotFix" - do that NOW - it is what makes your jail break persistent.
ONLY AFTER (2) ABOVE:
3) You must install one of the customer-build firmware images from Amazon, even if the same version number as a factory-build.
None of our add-ins (other than the jail break) are intended to be used with firmware built for the factory to use during Q.A. testing.
The version number is your choice, they are all still on the Amazon server.
