Never noticed screen resolution being an issue on LCD. I occasionally read with my 7 inch Samsung. If you read a lot do your eyes a favour and get into e ink before you burn your eyes out of your skull! I know they can be difficult to find if you live in a back water like I do but its worth the trouble.
