Robert L. O'Connell - The Ghosts of Cannae: Hannibal and the Darkest Hour of the Roman Republic is available at Amazon.com for $1.99.
NOTE: I just noticed that AnemicOak had made a post of the following book (I assume from an earlier sale) about the middle of January. Had I noticed that earlier, I would not have made a post about the book, again, so soon. To partially redeem myself, I will say that Anemic Oak's post had information about the book that I didn't include, and I had information that AnemicOak did not have, so our posts complemented each other.

Thx!

Coincidentally, I just got through listening to the audiobook _Carthage Must Be Destroyed_ (allegedly what Cato said after each one of his speeches on the floor of the (Roman) Senate.

For sure, the book deals with the three Punic Wars, and some other history about Rome and Carthage's highly dysfunctional relationship with each other, but the great majority of the book is about Hannibal.

Resident MobileRead comedian Fluribus' more-scholarly suggestion I'm sure is a gr8 one; however, if you like the kind of stuff in it, I highly recommend that you also put _Carthage Must Be Destroyed_ on your wishlist, if it's not currently on sale.
