Hey you guys, thank you for the advice and tips. I literally tired everything that was mentioned. Restarting etc and looking at the amount I have as per @ilovejedd's comment about iBooks sotring ebooks n a decompressed form.

In the end, I cut down like 2 gigs of books and despite restarting I still couldn't see where the space was been taken. My itunes just kept telling me that I only had 256 MB and it's not enough to sync but that comment had varied everytime I restored my iPad and uploaded all over again.

So after a few minutes of swearing, I restored my iPad again (thanks for the suggestions you guys!) and with the 2GB less ebooks, I manually added them. So for example instead of uploading "all books" right away, I selected maybe 50 at a time and just synced and waited patiently. Haha

Funny enough with this manual process I actually now have more space than I had whilst uploading the whole thing at once. So strange.

But honestly, I am grateful for all your help. This really helped me not throw my iPad out of the window especially since I do know it is a little dinosaur. Haha
