I couldn't find a better section in the forum. It's all about books, but not electronic books. The BBC recently aired a program about the library of forbidden books. "After the Nazis burned books for being ‘un-German’, one man made it his mission to preserve them for future generations." Mostly books published before 1933, I suspect most of them would be free of copyright very soon if not already, and therefore subject to eBook conversion.
