Thanks for that. I saw that the book acted as a prequel for a comic series. Even though I do read comics, I'd never heard of Artesia (except as a city in my home state of California, or a type of well).

On Goodreads, the author said he was working on another book, but that was in 2016. Maybe real life intervened?
