The storm that's barreling across the US should hit us late tonight. At first we were getting predictions of up to 12 inches of snow, followed by up to 0.25 inches of freezing rain, then a drop to near 0° (F). Fortunately, it looks like we'll be getting some warm air in the mix. The latest forecast calls for only an inch or so of snow, followed by heavy rains. The temperature is still expected to drop to 4°, but only after the rain stops.
So, just lousy weather instead of a catastrophe.
Today, so far, the temps were in the 30s and the sky was overcast. Locally, the sunset was officially 5:00.
