I almost never did with the first generation Echo/Dot devices. Audio quality just wasn't good enough. And I wouldn't have thought that was an issue with an audio book, but it appears to have been. Now, with a new Echo in my office, I sometimes listen to a book in there when I'm waiting on something to install, or compile, or whatever. Whereas before, I would have used the Audible app on my desktop or phone.
