Well, it depends on what you mean by "worth joining". Most of these ebooks are not legal and those people who offer the download most certainly break laws of copyright. From the recent developments with P2P file-sharing services like Kazaa and RIAA’s announcement to actively fight people who offer illegal downloads, I'd be careful if I was you and don't want to get into trouble.
