NZ is still Life+50 with no will to change.

The TPP definitely did collapse when the USA withdrew and was expected die. However, around 4 or 5 months later the remaining countries, led by Japan, agreed to resurrect it as what later became the CPTPP.

During the TPP negotiations the NZ Government had analyzed the expected economic impact of all the TPP trade effects on the country among which extending copyright to +70 had a negative impact on the economy.

When the CPTPP was negotiated around 20 or so requirements that the USA alone had demanded be in the TPP, one of which was that all countries become Life+70 countries, were no longer relevant. That (supported by the analysis showing a negative impact on the economy of +70) meant that NZ remains a +50 country.
