No. I just like to work on two devices, alternately: my laptop and my Windows tablet. For me, it's really a question of convenience, not of need. I know that Calibre is not meant for multi-access, but a person can dream.
Meanwhile Dropbox does more or less what I want, and of course I take precautions to avoid messing up.
