Don't Be Snookered by a "Free" Offer from Audible!

Audible has put out at least one ad (I saw it on their homepage) for The Woman in the Window: A Novel, unabridged. The ad prompts you to click on a button to get it, free.

Clicking on the button takes you to a page that says at the top, "Start your Audible membership with this book." I'll spare you any of the rest--suffice it to say that it is an offer for a one-month free trial, in which you can get the aforementioned audiobook as your one free audiobook. It looks as though this trial offer is not even as good as some others that have been offered recently. And, of course, previous members will not be eligible, at least if they've been a member within the last year.

Save five minutes of your life, and don't be taken in (to put it nicely) by the offer.
