I don't think it is acceptable yet for browsing the web but it is certainly a lot faster then earlier e-readers. It is a bit expensive at the moment, you may want to perhaps wait another year? Overall though I am really enjoying the larger screen and faster performance. Here is a quick Youtube video review that may help you decide,
