Sorry, but, asking for a factory reset is a reasonable step in the problem solving process. It is possible that someone has been fiddling in a way that could cause this.
@Hisoka: You can test the LEDs if you want. There is function in the developer options to do this. The steps are:
- Turn on developer mode by opening the search and typing "devmodeon". Nothing obvious will happen.
- Close search.
- Go to the "Device information" page of the settings.
- Tap "View" next to the last option, "Developer options".
- Tap "Setting" for "Set frontlight LED Manually". (For other playing along, this will be there for the Aura ONE only)
- Use the sliders to adjust the LEDS.
You can adjust each LED to see which has failed. Or if something else is going on. I'm guessing as the photos show green and blue, that the red LED has failed.
The warranty on these devices is a year, so you are just past it. But, I'd push a bit to try and get them offer a discount on a replacement device. And check your consumer protection laws. In Australia, there laws have a clause for "reasonable expectation of life" which would cover at least repair for something like this.
