Like I said, it's no big deal not to have Prime since I have Hulu for a year. To me, Prime's biggest benefit is Prime Video; the other perks were bonus add-ons for me.
I order quite a bit from Walmart and Target, largely in order to keep from having to go into the stores (Walmart), and having to travel a good little distance to get to one of their stores (Target).

Both of them offer free "2-day" service, with orders over $35. So far, so good, compared to Amazon, where you have to pony up $100 (give or take)/year for Prime to get free 2-day service. The advantage with Amazon Prime is that there is no minimum order amount, with Prime, in order to get the 2-day service.

Walmart and Target? Orders usually arrive in several packages. I do well to get one of the packages in 2 days; most arrive . . . well, whenever.

The other differences from Amazon? Well, there is at least one besides the fact that Amazon occasionally (is that a fair characterization?) doesn't get a package to you in 2 days. One concerns Walmart or Target issuing an apology, a "we're working on it," a "please bear with us," et al.? Nope, not in my experience. How about offering store credit, gift cards, digital credit (in the case of Walmart/Kobo), et al. to compensate you if they don't get part (or any) or your order to you in 2 days? Fuhgettaboutit. And, in my experience, with both Walmart and Target, it's hard, if not (nearly?) impossible to find a customer service email address, much less a phone number, if you have an issue with an order.

Choose your poison.
