I've just finished Kingdom of the Blind, the 14th Gamache story, and my third book of 2019 after C.J. Cherryh's Inheritor and Elizabeth Peters The Mummy Case. I found Penny's latest to be very much more to my taste than several of its predecessors, and am also really enjoying the linguistic anthropology in the Foreigner series. So I am now reading Precursor while also catching up with Hamish Macbeth in Death of an Honest Man. I started it just out of a desire to have read the whole series, but so far, 10% done, it's very much more engaging and enjoyable than the majority of the series were for me.
