I'm having an issue with collections not updating to my Kobo. As an example, I bought new books today, transferred them to Calibre (from my Kobo), and updated the metadata to put the new books into new Collections. These books did not previously go into a collection at all on my Kobo.

So far I have tried the following things to have these new Collections added to my Kobo:
1) Device Manager - Update Cached metadata on device
2) Kobo Utilities Plugin - Update metadata in device library
......a) "Update Kobo ePubs" is selected
3) Kobo Utilities Plugin - Refresh the list of books on the device (pretty sure this has nothing to with updating from Calibre to Kobo, but I'm trying everything that looks even remotely possible. This, unfortunately, was the last thing that looked remotely related.)

How do I get these new Collections that are required to add to my Kobo?

Calibre is up to date, as is the Kobo Utilities Plugin.
