Same s*** as any update after 4.7.10413: No Wifi anymore.

I have an Unifi WiFi network in my house (1 USG, 2 AP, Wifi N/B/G, 2.4GHz, 5GHz disabled (currently no need)), Wifi works flawlessly with all devices (2 iPhones, iPad, Fire TV Stick, Office Laptop, the LG refrigerator, and some other devices), even with my Kobo Aura HD up to firmware 4.7.10413. But if I upgrade to some version above, I always get a Wifi connection Error. The Kobo asks for Wifi password, and quits with "Unable to connect". No matter what settings I use for my Wifi (even with enabled 5GHz).

Do you have any tips to get my Kobo Aura HD working with my home Wifi?
As I said, firmware 4.7.10413 works, but any firmware version above doesn't. And I tried them all...

There are no hacks/tweaks or something like that on the Kobo (not even the kobo patcher). Just hard reset, plain vanilla firmware...
Are you doing something that is blocking the domain www.kobo.com? When connecting to WiFi, the device checks if it can access a URL. In firmware 4.8.10956, this changed from Microsoft URL to a Kobo URL. Specifically, the firmware now retrieves http://www.kobo.com/buildinfo.xml and does some simple validation on the result. If it cannot get that URL, or the contents are wrong, the WiFi connection will not be used. This has always been the case, just the URL used has changed.

With more recent firmware, the check can be avoided. See https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=310037 for the details.
